How to handle Burnout at the start of each year?
Intro
It's not common that at the beginning of the school year, you may feel like you don't want to do anything but stay in your bed all the time or even pick up your phone completely feeling bored. Well, that's an early situation commonly known as burnout.
Why do you feel burned out?
There are many ways that you may feel burnt out but one common one at the beginning of the school year would be the whole summer vacation. Summer vacation has taken the school out of your life for around 3 months (depending on your location) which lets you control your day and routine. Most people have spent their summer, having fun with friends or family, playing sports or video games, pursuing their passions, or even just relaxing from the stressful year of school they have. Yet once they have arrived back to the school routine, they will feel extremely nothing but stress and then burn out. With the school routine and the workload, it brings the students with stress to finish all the assignments and still do what they want to do. After they have finished the assignments, the next morning they will wake up mostly feeling tired and just feel like they are confined in a place where they don't feel like doing anything. This is common among students every day for numerous reasons such as this one, and I have seen and experienced this myself as well.
Ways you could feel more motivated?
During the time that I have been through burnout, I tried to find something to do as I am covered through a void of empty thoughts, staring at a wall and even hearing the noise around me, nonresponsive to it. A few things that minorly helped for the time were reading a book, meditation, trying to play video games, and mostly scribbling throughout my notebooks. This all has some part in helping me but maybe these may not help you as we all have our differences on what suits us better than others. So we recommend to look at our other articles that cover the topic of motivation which we think could help you feel more motivated and not burnt out of life.
